SVN is next to impossible to use in multi-developer environment. Feature branches are a nightmare. Most teams abandon trunk, and just jump from tag to tag.

Perhaps the people on the board weren’t true mentors. If they were, you might not have needed to repeatedly assert the company direction and justify yourself to boredom. I’m sure that the situation for Jobs was different when he founded Next.
